You design is adorable. appeal plus plus plus. He looks like a bug, haha wheres his legss?

The only thing I could point out is the squash and stretch...? He isn't particularly squishy in the film. But he is a turtle after all...
Well that's all I have to say. I like watching you blog so Im waiting to see how your next project'll be!

  2. HE SO CUTE! :D
The timing and snappy impact seem to match his character design with the hard shell and light frame. ALTHOUGH... not sure if it's just this computer but the timing seems a bit off with the sound, like he hits the ground too late.. Otherwise, capital work!

  3. ALSO (I forgot to comment on Max!). Love his pose, definitely has a few screws loose as only the best scientists do (it's a scientifically proven fact that all scientists are mad). But your turtle stays squashed on the ground- he needs to ping back up! He looks like he'd be the sort of turtle that would 'ping' anyway... :P

the pose on max looks great and so does the character. The squash before the jump is a nice touch and creates anticipatSHION!
perhaps adding more stretch while he is falling
other dan dat Great work Ayemah ;D

  5. THE TURTLE IS ADORABLE GIVE ME HIS BEARD.
    Good stretch and squash :D
A sound effect would be awesome! Especially if it was a Master Roshi soundbite...

I also agree with Lydia on Max. His pose is very dramatic, and your turtles jump is well done, although I think it would have been better if he'd continue to bounce out of frame, instead of staying squashed on the ground as if HE WERE DEAD.

  6. Great to see all the feedback for Amy's work. I agree that some follow through (an animation principle) after the landing would improve the character's jump. You may choose to exaggerate (animation principle) the squash (animation principle) ao that he is flat on the ground, or you may choose to bounce him a few times to absorb the energy of the fall.

Also, the spacing (animation principle)and arc (animation principle)of the descent could be pushed to get more sense of weight and gravity. An ease-out (animation principle) from the top of the arc (animation principle) of the jump with the inbetween poses favouring the top pose would achieve that.

    Good work everyone.
